Description

The entrance walls and gate piers at Squires Bridge Road in Shepperton date from the 19th century. They feature red brick plinth walls topped with stone coping and ashlar gate piers. The plinth walls are approximately 0.65 meters high, with iron railings rising to 1.2 meters, finished with spear tips and fleur-de-lys finials on the main railings. The square piers have moulded caps that support spherical finials. Between the piers are gates with open square standards topped with urn finials, although the left one has been destroyed. The double gates are decorated with a band of paterae.
