Description

The Little Cottage is an 18th-century cottage with a timber-frame core. The front is of whitewashed brick, and the roof is covered with plain tiles. The cottage has two storeys and a large ridge stack to the right, featuring a corbelled top. There are two sash windows on the first floor, each containing eight panes arranged in two rows of four. A smaller, similar window is located on the ground floor to the left. To the right, there are two twelve-pane windows, arranged in three rows of four, each set under a cambered head. A part-glazed door is situated to the left of the centre, set within an open gable porch supported by tree trunk supports. Inside, there is a deep fireplace on the ground floor to the right.
