Description
The gate piers, quadrant walls, and railings at Potterton Hall date from the mid-18th century for the piers and mid-19th century for the walls. The structures are made of ashlar and hammer-dressed stone, with the walls rendered. The inner piers feature banded rustication and have cornices and bases designed for finials. The outer piers are smaller and lower, with a pedestrian gate situated between them and topped with pyramid caps. The curving walls have chamfered coping and are topped with simple rod railings that have arrow-head finials, ending in low square piers.
