TQ 25NW DEAN LANE 3/72 Walton-on-the-Hill, Tadworth Coal Tax post at NGR 22735533

Post c1860. c3½ foot high, metal four legged plinth with chamfered pier above. Moulded capital band and pyramidal top, City of London Corporation shield cast on front lettering on pier reads "24 & 25 VICT/CAP 42". A Coal and Wine duty post indicating the boundary at which tax was payable; that on coal dating back to the 1660's.
