(East Side) 12/235 Post Office and Mumfords (formerly listed as 14/6/67 Forest's Stores with house attached)

GV II

House. Divided, now part shops. C15 to right, circa 1550, to centre and left. Timber framed underbuilt in colourwashed brick to ground floor left, rendered and glass shop front to ground floor right. Frame exposed on first floor with rendered colourwashed infill and plain tiled roof, half hipped with gablet end right. Two storeys with end stacks to left, rebuilt. Gabled cross wing to left jettied on first floor with brackets over ground floor. Stepped brick brackets to ends. Curved bracing to first floor with queen posts exposed in gable to left. One small leaded attic casement window and one four-light mullioned first floor window and angle bay window to ground floor. Jettied first floor to centre with curved bracing and close stud framing. One four-light and one three-light first floor window. Sash window and square bay shop window across ground floor centre and right. Door to right of centre under transome light with further door (Mumfords) to left hand return front.
