Description
George and Olwen's Country Store is a house that has been converted into a shop, built in 1892 by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Bray estate. The building features red brick at the lower level with colourwashed roughcast above and has a plain tiled roof. It is a single storey with an attic, which includes a gabled, tile-hung four-light leaded casement dormer on the right side. There is a large multiple stack on the ridge, positioned to the right of the center, topped with a corbelled design. The first floor juts out over a rounded bressumer that has a dentill-type pattern, supported by a braced post at the right end. To the left end, there is a projecting square bay window, while the right end features an angle bay window. The ground floor on the left is recessed and has six leaded windows, with a four-light leaded casement window to the right. There is a half-glazed door to the left of center in the angle of the bay, and another half-glazed door under a braced hood at the re-entrant angle with the wing. A further door is located to the right.
