Description

Dibbles is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with extensions added to the left and front right in a similar style in the early 20th century. The building features exposed timber framing with whitewashed brick infill, rendered infill designed to imitate framing on the front right and end left, and weatherboard cladding on the left end. It has a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the right.

The house is two storeys high and includes corbelled ridge stacks to the left, one left of centre, and an original multiple stack to the right of centre at the junction with the wing. The original part of the house consists of four bays with bracing on the first floor, plus two additional bays to the left and a gabled bay that projects to the front right, which jetties on the first floor.

The fenestration features diamond-pane leaded casements, with three through-eaves flat-roofed first floor windows in the extension to the left and three casement windows below. There are three under-eaves windows on the first floor of the original range and three windows below, with two to the left under pentice drip boards. The gabled bay has one window on each floor, with a three-light window on the ground floor. A 20th-century ribbed door is located to the left of the wing beneath a similar board.
