Description
Fludyers is a house dating from the 16th century, with 20th-century extensions added to the rear. The building is timber framed, with the ground floor partially underbuilt and infilled with red and brown brick, including some 20th-century brick on the right side. Above the ground floor, the timber frame is exposed with brick infilling. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring end gablets. The house has one storey and an attic, consisting of four framed bays with curved bracing at the ends of the first floor. There are two offset end stacks. The front has four gabled casement dormers that extend through the eaves, and on the ground floor, there are four windows beneath pentice boards. A half-glazed door is located to the left of the center, while the main entrance has been moved to the rear at the center. To the left, there is a 20th-century gabled brick wing, which includes a flat-roofed through-eaves dormer and two ground floor windows with cambered heads.
