Description

These are two 18th-century houses, numbers 68 and 70 Kingston Road. The houses are rendered and have pitched tile roofs; number 68’s roof incorporates corrugated asbestos. They are two storeys high and feature a horizontal band. The windows are a mix of 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars and more recent casements, with two of each style on each floor. There is a front door and two blocked doorways. Number 68 has single-storey extensions to the south and east. The south extension is partly weatherboarded and has a hipped pantile roof with two casements, one featuring diagonal lead glazing bars. The west extension has a lean-to pantile roof. Numbers 68 and 70 are part of a group that includes numbers 15 to 19 (odd), the smithy behind number 66, and numbers 68 to 76 (even).
