Description

These are two houses, numbers 94 and 96 Milford Hill, built in the late 18th century and altered since. They are two storeys high, with rendered walls and a steeply pitched roof covered in old tiles. Four gabled dormers break the roofline. Number 94 has two windows on the first floor, while number 96 has three, the central one being narrower and recessed. The windows are 19th-century sash windows. Both houses have a central door on the ground floor, flanked by late 19th or 20th-century canted bay windows with hipped tiled roofs. The doors are recessed and panelled, dating from the 19th century. However, number 94 retains an 18th or early 19th-century door hood with a broken pediment. Numbers 94 and 96 are set within a group and are appreciated for their contribution to the area's character.
