Description
The barn at Upper Manor Farm, located 40 yards south of The Rectory in Stoke D'Abernon, dates back to the 15th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick foundation, with weatherboard cladding and a hipped plain tiled roof. The barn is rectangular and consists of five bays, with a casement window on the rear left, a planked door on the front right, and a double carriage entrance in the center. There are 19th-century single-storey brick extensions at either end. Inside, the barn has bracing to the collars and wind bracing in the central three bays, with some timbers having been renewed. The roof structure includes collar and tie beams, and it may have originally featured a crown post.
