Description

The barn at Manor Farm is a structure likely built in the 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame set on high brick sills, is weatherboarded, and has a tiled roof. The barn consists of eleven bays, with midstreys located on the east side facing the yard, specifically in bays 2 and 8. The roof is half hipped at the ends and hipped over the midstreys.

Inside, the barn has tie beam trusses supported by straight braces to jowled posts. The principal rafters are equipped with a high collar and short vertical struts, and there are two tiers of butt purlins. The walls include diagonal braces. This barn contributes significantly to the character of the village along the main street.
