Description
The barn at Manor Farm is an early 18th-century structure that has undergone some alterations and additions in the 19th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and brick dressings, topped with a pantile roof. The main front of the barn shows a line of quoins that indicate the original five structural bays. To the left, there is a tall 19th-century double door set within an arched opening that has a brick surround and head, followed by two vertical ventilation slots. To the right, a 19th-century addition rises to two storeys and includes a small door and a four-light window beneath a timber lintel. Above the door, there is a plain timber opening. The gable end facing the road features five vertical slots and incorporates reused 17th-century moulded stones in the quoins. The roof structure includes a 19th-century kingpost, although the steeper pitch of the original roof is still visible inside.
