Description
The barn, stables, and loose boxes at Manor Farmhouse date from the early 18th century and were extended and altered in the mid-19th century. The structure is built of squared limestone rubble with ashlar and brick dressings, featuring ashlar quoins and pantile roofs. It has an L-plan layout and is a single-storey building with a three-bay, steeply pitched roof. The original 18th-century barn has central planked doors flanked by single lights, all topped with segmental stone heads. To the left is a lower four-bay range that includes two planked doors and two lights with rather holes. At right angles is a mid-19th-century range with thirteen bays, which features a broad opening leading to six planked doors, alternating with single semi-circular headed openings that have red brick arches and lower cast iron ventilator panels.
