Description
Tyler's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an early 19th-century addition and some minor alterations. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a steeply pitched concrete tiled roof with two red brick gable stacks that have stone bases. It is two storeys high with a garret and has a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a gabled wooden porch, flanked by single three-light windows. On the first floor, there are two smaller windows that match the style below. All windows have moulded stone surrounds, although the original mullions have been replaced with wood. To the right, there is a single-bay, two-storey early 19th-century addition that features a single red brick gable stack. This addition includes a central three-light glazing bar window with an ashlar lintel, along with two similar two-light windows at the eaves. At the rear of the farmhouse, there are two two-light chamfered mullioned windows and two single lights with chamfered surrounds, one of which is blocked.
