Description
College Farmhouse is a farm house built in 1677, with alterations and additions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a hipped pantile roof topped with a central moulded stone ridge stack, along with one raised stone coped gable at the rear. Originally, the gable end faced the street, but the house was extended to form an L-plan in the 18th century, and the main front now faces the street. The building is two stories high with a five-bay front. The central entrance has a 20th-century door with an overlight, sheltered by a hipped pantile hood supported by timber brackets. On either side of the door are two 19th-century two-light glazing bar casements with timber lintels. Above the entrance, there are four similar windows.
