Description
Glebe Farmhouse is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dated around 1698, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with a brick ridge, as well as end and rear lateral stacks. The building has a three-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a four-window range. The central entrance consists of a four-panel, part-glazed door set in a gabled wood porch. The ground floor has three-light casement windows from the 20th century, while the first floor features two-light casements, all with wood lintels. There is a roof dormer that includes a three-light casement. At the rear, there is a large stone lateral stack with a tiled offset and brick flue, which is covered by a single-storey brick extension that has casement windows and a door, also with wood lintels. The ridge stack has a moulded stone cap at the rear inscribed with "WI/1698(?)." Inside, the farmhouse has a stone-flagged floor and spine beams.
