Description
Nos. 23 to 27 Church Street is a row of houses with shops below, dating from the 17th century with 19th-century additions. The buildings are rendered and have plain tiled roofs, which have been restored on the left side over No. 21. There is a ridge stack on the right and rear stacks on the left and center. The structure has two storeys and an attic, featuring flat-roofed dormers on the left and gabled dormers from the 19th century on the right. Across the first floor, there are seven sash windows: two in No. 23, three in No. 25, and two in No. 27. Nos. 25 and 27 have boarded eaves. Below, there are three plate glass shop fronts with 20th-century glazed doors between them, and a square carriage entrance is located at the left end. The rear features rendered and tile-hung wings.
