Description

Nos. 14, 14A, 16, and 18 Church Street is a terrace of buildings dating from the 18th century, with some 20th-century restorations. The structure features a brick facade on a rendered plinth to the right, while the ground floor to the left is rendered. The buildings have slate roofs, with brick stacks at the right end and a rendered stack to the left of center.

The terrace is two storeys high and includes two glazing bar sash windows to the right, with a blocked window between them, all under gauged heads. To the left of center, there are 20th-century casements and a projecting 19th-century angle bay window at the left end on the first floor. A 20th-century glazed door and window are located at the right end (No. 14A).

No. 14 features a panelled door to the right of center, with the top two panels glazed and set in an arched surround that contains a traceried tear and drop fanlight. There is a glazed shop front at the right and center with a three-quarter glazed door to the left side (No. 16). Additionally, there is a plate glass 20th-century shop front to the left of center and at the left end. No. 18 has an end pier to the left with a door to the right between piers in an arched surround.
