Description
Corner Cottage is a house located on the south-west side of Main Street, Fawler, and dated 1699. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble, with a roughly dressed ironstone plinth. The roof is covered with 20th-century machine tiles. The house has a two-unit plan and two storeys. An integral brick end stack is present on the left-hand side. The front facade features a two-window arrangement, with 2- and 3-light wooden casements under wooden lintels. A central 20th-century half-glazed boarded door is accessed via three stone steps. A moulded rectangular datestone bearing the initials IM/1699 is positioned above the door. The interior has not been inspected.
