Description
This stable, located 30 meters north of Stone Cottage, is dated 1755, as indicated by a stone plaque on the gable end. It is constructed from dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof. The building is one storey with a loft. The east side, facing the yard, has a doorway leading into the stable and external stone steps that lead to the loft door. Both doorways have old wooden frames and lintels, and the loft door breaks through the eaves into a small gable. The gabled south end, which faces the lane, also displays the date plaque and has windows on each floor; the upper window consists of two lights with one shutter, supported by wooden lintels. An attached barn to the north has a 20th-century monopitch roof and is not considered of special architectural interest.
