Description

This stable, dated and initialled 'E.T./1841' on the east gable end, is constructed of thinly-bedded coursed limestone with dressed stone quoins and features an artificial stone slate roof. It has a rectangular plan, is a single storey with a loft, and includes a double-width entrance with a timber lintel and a single-width plank door at the east gable end. There is also a plank door to the loft above, which was presumably accessed by a ladder. Additionally, the stable has two doors on the side that faces away from the road. The flat coped gables are topped with ball finials. This building is located directly opposite and is nearly contemporary with The Cottage, which is dated 1842.
