Description

This barn, located approximately 15 meters southeast of Middle Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and was altered in 1884. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a Stonesfield-slate roof. The barn has a four-bay plan with a porch and an additional bay. The hipped-roofed porch is positioned to the right of the center, while the other bays include triangular vents and some later small openings. The rear of the barn has opposed double doors. To the left, there is an added two-storey bay with the date inscribed above the loft door. Inside, the barn has a queen-strut roof supported by butt purlins. This building is included for its group value.
