Description

This memorial fountain was built in 1862 for the Dillon family. It is made of limestone and pink sandstone, with some polished granite, and is designed in the Gothic style. Water flows from a steeple-like structure that rises from a sandstone base supported by four short granite columns, each topped with stiff-leaf capitals that feature pointed arches within gables. The drum of the circular limestone superstructure is decorated with a band of quatrefoils and is topped with an ornamented spire. A decorative band around the front arch includes the words "IN MEMORIAM," and there is a plate on the rear wall that commemorates Henrietta Viscountess Dillon.
