FINSTOCK WITNEY ROAD SP3616 (North-west side) 17/54 Stable block and service wing adjoining Finstock Manor House to W

GV II

Stable block and service wing. Probably late C17, with later alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with stone slate roof. One storey and attic. Irregular T-plan with gabled cross-wing projecting to right. Integral stone end stack to rear of cross wing. Two small gabled dormers to left with small-paned 2-light wooden casements. C20 three-light metal attic casement with wooden lintel to cross-wing and further ground-floor casements to left-hand return. Through carriageway with wooden lintel to right, in angle of cross-wing. Various blocked windows and doors to left (see straight joints). Boarded left door with wooden lintel in left-hand gable end. Rear with gabled wings to left and right and gabled eaves dormer to centre with boarded loft door. Interior not inspected.
