Description
This is a cottage built in the early 18th century, constructed from coursed limestone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is positioned at right angles to the road. It stands two storeys high and features an integral stone end stack on the left, which has been rebuilt above the ridge in 20th-century reconstituted stone. The cottage has a two-window ridge made of the same reconstituted stone. The front has two windows, each with 2-light leaded wooden casements, wooden lintels, and stone cills. The ground floor windows are fitted with twisted square-section wrought-iron bars behind opening casements. A central boarded door with a wooden lintel provides access. Additionally, there is a domed bread oven that projects from the left-hand gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
