Description
76 and 78 Abingdon Road is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It features a datestone marked W/HA/1705, which was altered in the late 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with dressed quoins and has a gabled stone slate roof with brick stacks at the ends. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, displaying a two-window range. There are timber lintels above a 19th-century plank door that has a gabled hood, as well as two three-light casements above it. To the left, there is a similar door that has been inserted, also with a timber lintel. The building includes two gabled roof dormers with two-light casements. A 20th-century porch has been added to the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
