Description

Langcotta is a late 17th-century house located in Brighthampton. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a thatch roof, hall-hipped to the left side; the right-hand end features a stack finished in brick. The original plan comprised two units, now visible as a two-storey, two-window range. Late 19th-century three-light casement windows with glazing bars are set beneath timber lintels. A central doorway has been blocked, and the present access is to the rear of the property. The interior contains stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. The building is included on the list for its group value.
