Description
This stable, located approximately 5 meters southwest of Lodge Farmhouse, dates from around 1770 and is now partly used as a garage. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a roof made of stone slate and Welsh slate. The building is single storey with a loft, and includes both garage and stable doors. At the north end, there is applied timber framing, mostly original, which forms a triple-arched blind arcade; the stone footings are part of the original stonework behind. A quatrefoil is present in the gable. The arcade was designed to be viewed as part of the overall composition when the lodge is seen from the park.
