Description
The barn and stable at Lodge Farm, dating from the early 19th century, are constructed from coursed squared rubble and feature hipped pantile roofs. The building includes ashlar dressings, quoins, and an eaves band, along with various breathers. The barn is two storeys high and has four bays, with a central bay containing three small hatches, flanked by pairs of barn doors that have segmental heads and timber lintels. To the left of the barn, there is a 20th-century garage door, and to the right, another hatch. Above this central bay, there is a pattern of breathers and two Yorkshire sash windows, with a hatch to the left and a single casement to the right.
The lower stable range, located to the east, is also two storeys and consists of three bays. It features four hatches, two of which are in blocked doorways with segmental heads. To the right of the stable range, there is a mounting block. Above this area, there are three pitch holes and two paired breathers. The north end of the stable has a door with a slatted head and a hatch to the right. This building is included for its group value only.
