Description

The barn and stable at Top Farmhouse is a late 18th-century structure. It is built from coursed and squared rubble and features a 20th-century hipped pantile roof with ashlar dressings. The building has three bays. On the south side, there is a central pair of doors with a segmental head and a wooden lintel. To the right, there is a blocked door with an ashlar surround, and above it, a blocked pitch hole. The north side has a central pair of doors flanked on the left by two breathers and a doorway. To the right, there is an additional buttress and a garage door. Beyond this, there is a two-storey stable with a casement window and a garage door. Above the stable, there are six breathers and to the right, a loading door. This building is included in the register for its group value only.
