Description
The gate piers and boundary wall at the Church of St. James were constructed in 1795 and the late 19th century. They are made of coursed and squared rubble and ashlar in the Gothick Revival style. The square gate piers feature a moulded plinth, a plain impost band, and a billeted cornice. Each pier has a round-headed blank panel and a quatrefoil on either side, topped with a crocketed pinnacle and finial. The late 19th-century boundary wall is 5 meters long and includes a square pier with a pyramid cap. There are also late 20th-century wrought iron overthrow and gates.
