Description
This boundary stone, dating from 1757 and later damaged, is located at the entrance to Newstead Grange. It is made of painted ashlar and has a square plan topped with a pyramidal cap. The south front of the stone is inscribed with the year, partially visible as "17.. ......... 11." This stone is one of a group of five that mark the northern boundary of the parish of Papplewick.
