Description
New Barn Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a stone-slate roof with stone end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range of two-light casements with glazing bars on the first floor. There is a central part-glazed door, with a three-light casement with glazing bars to the right and a 16-pane sash window to the left. The windows are adorned with flat stone arches, and there are two skylights. At the rear, there is a stair turret with a two-light casement. The farmhouse has extensions of one storey and attic on either side, which include two-light dormers and casements. Inside, the farmhouse features spine beams, a winder stair, some wide plank doors, and stone flags in the hall, kitchen, dairy, and cellar.
