Description
Lower House is a substantial house built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick stacks. The building is designed in an L shape and has two storeys. The main range displays a three-window arrangement of 16-pane sash windows set beneath flat arches, with a central glazed door. There is an additional ground-floor window in a two-window range that projects from the left side, while the wing contains the six-panel main entrance. The right end of the main range returns to the rear, and the roofs are hipped. The interior has not been inspected. Ditchley Park, where the house is located, is listed in the English Heritage Historic Gardens Register at Grade II*.
