Description
Charlbury Lodge North is one of a pair of gate lodges, likely built in the early 19th century. The lodge is constructed of rendered brick and features a Welsh-slate roof with a rendered stack. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall. The symmetrical front has two windows and includes a stucco storey band. A central doorway is framed by an architrave and set within a tall blind arch that has a double-stepped keyblock. The flanking sash windows have 16 panes on the first floor and 2 panes on the ground floor, all with projecting keyblocks. The plain parapet extends only a short distance to the sides, which also feature additional ground floor sashes. The hipped roof is topped with a central stack. The interior has not been inspected.
