Description
Charlbury Lodge South is one of a pair of gate lodges, likely built in the early 19th century. The building is made of rendered brick and features a Welsh-slate roof with a rendered stack. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall. The symmetrical front has two windows and includes a stucco storey band. A central doorway is framed by an architrave and set within a tall blind arch that has a double-stepped keyblock. The flanking sash windows have 16 panes on the first floor and 20 panes on the ground floor, all featuring projecting keyblocks. The plain parapet extends only a short distance to the sides, where additional sash windows can be found on the ground floor. The hipped roof is topped with a central stack. The interior has not been inspected.
