Description
The entrance screen, gates, and balustrading to the forecourt of Ditchley House date from possibly the early to mid-19th century. Constructed from limestone ashlar and wrought iron, the low iron screen sits on a dwarf wall and features central gates flanked by triangular wrought-iron piers, along with a pair of iron gates that have scrolled tops. The flanking curving stone balustrading connects to the pavilions and is made up of square balusters. Ditchley Park is also recognized in the English Heritage Historic Gardens Register at Grade II*.
