Description
This building is a house located approximately 100 meters west of The Stables in Over Norton Park. It is likely from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is made of coursed squared limestone with wooden lintels and features a Stonesfield-slate roof with rebuilt ashlar gable stacks. It has an L-shaped design, consisting of two storeys plus an attic.
The front of the building has an irregular three-window arrangement. The taller main range includes a blocked central doorway with an ashlar flat arch, situated below a three-light casement window. The right bay has two-light casements, while the left bay features a cross window on the first floor. The right gable wall of the main range has a two-light stone-mullioned gable window and a stone parapet. The rear of the main range also has a similar mullioned window above another cross window. There is a lean-to structure against the right gable wall that projects to the rear and includes an old ashlar stack. A lower rear wing extends from the left, featuring casements and has been expanded from a former outbuilding. Inside, there is a plaster overmantel with a bolection-moulded surround.
