Description
No. 7 Main Street is a small house, likely built in the mid-18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It features coursed squared limestone and Stonesfield-slate roofs, along with rubble gable stacks. The house has a two-unit plan, with a subsidiary bay and a rear extension, and stands two storeys plus an attic, along with a single-storey section. The symmetrical front has two windows in the main range, with leaded three-light casements on the first floor, supported by rubble flat arches. Below, there are canted four-light bay windows linked by a stone-slate roof that shelters the central doorway. The steep-pitched roof includes a central gabled roof dormer. To the left, there is a single-storey bay with a 20th-century casement and a gable stack, as well as a 20th-century lean-to extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
