Description
This building is a range of two barns located approximately 25 meters southeast of College Farmhouse. It was built in the early 19th century, with extensions added in the mid to late 19th century. The structure is made of coursed rubble limestone, featuring brick quoins and door jambs, and has a half-hipped stone slate roof. The barn range consists of seven bays, with three alternate bays having hipped cart-entry projections that include wooden lintels above large cart doors. Between these projections are later 19th-century extensions made of rubble stone, accented with white brick dressings and lower hipped roofs. The left extension features cast doors, while the right has two stable doors with small windows above. The main barn range includes square vent holes and has pegged machine-cut trusses that show carpenters' marks, along with tie beams, collars, and queen struts.
