Description
The Yews is a house dating from the late 18th century, with an altered rear wing that is likely from a later period. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone, which was formerly roughcast, and features ashlar quoins and window surrounds. The stone slate roof is complemented by flanking ashlar chimneys. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-bay façade. The windows on the first floor are three-pane sashes set in raised ashlar surrounds, with the central window featuring a beaded surround. The left bay on the ground floor has been altered to include a 20th-century canted bay window. There are three gabled roof dormers, each with two-light wooden casements. The central entrance is a 19th-century half-glazed door, framed by a beaded ashlar surround and topped with an open pediment hood made of stone on stone brackets.
