Description

This structure consists of a gatepier, wall, and railings located 20 meters west-southwest of Shill House. The gatepier dates from the 18th century and is made of rusticated ashlar, featuring a moulded cornice and a ball finial. The attached dwarf wall is from the 19th century and constructed of coursed rubble stone with stone coping. It is topped with 19th-century wrought-iron railings that have small spearhead finials. The wall and railings follow the boundary along the road and then curve towards the pier. This structure is included for its group value.
