Description
This barn, located approximately 10 meters north of Number 42 on Finstock School Road, dates back to the 13th century. It is constructed from roughly squared and coursed limestone rubble, featuring stone dressings, and has a 20th-century machine tile roof. The barn consists of three bays that run at right angles to the road. It has central opposed cart entrances, with the roof sloping down over a short porch to the north. There is a pair of 20th-century plywood-covered doors on the north side. The western bay has triangular-shaped vents on its sides, and there are three additional vents in the gable end facing the road. Inside, the barn features collar-and-tie-beam trusses. This building is included for its group value.
