Description

This barn, located approximately 13 meters north of Number 12 (White House), dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a half-hipped old tile roof. The barn has a three-bay plan that includes a threshing floor. There is a timber lintel above the plank winnowing doors, and the rear has 20th-century doors. A timber lintel also exists over a blocked door in the right side wall. Inside, the barn has a three-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins. The tie-beam on the right side has two hollow chamfers and has been removed from a 16th-century house. This barn is included for its group value.
