Description

Willow Cottage is a house dating from 1736, as indicated by the datestone above the door. It is constructed of colourwashed limestone rubble and features a gabled old tile roof with a brick stack at one end. The house has a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. A timber lintel is positioned over the central 20th-century plank door. To the left, there is an old timber lintel over a 20th-century casement window, while to the right, another 20th-century casement is set beneath a timber lintel. The house has two gabled dormers, each with 20th-century casements. At the rear, there is a remodelled outshut from the 20th century that adjoins an early 19th-century one-bay wing made of similar materials. Although the interior was not inspected, it has been noted to contain stop-chamfered beams.
