Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters southwest of Idbury House Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble and features a corrugated iron roof. Originally a three-bay barn, it has been extended by one bay to the north. The barn has wide opposing doorways in the second bay from the south. Inside, there is a collar and tie beam roof spanning the three original bays, with double butt-purlins supporting it. A full-height wall, which was once the gable end wall, separates the original part of the barn from the later bay. This building is included for its group value.
