Description

This is a barn located approximately 50 meters north of Elm Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century, with some repairs made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched corrugated-iron roof. The barn consists of three bays and has 20th-century doors. The roof is supported by a trenched purlin structure, with original principal beams that include collars and ties, although some common rafters have been renewed. There are ventilation slits on either side of the entrance and triangular ventilation holes in the gables. The barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
