Description

The Willows Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century, featuring alterations and additions from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and has raised tile roofs from the 20th century, along with brick ridge and end stacks. Originally designed with a three-unit plan, the farmhouse was extended by a parallel range at the rear in the 19th century, and later included a single-storey outhouse with an added first floor from the 19th century. The building stands two storeys high and has a total of five windows across its façade.

The entrance, located to the left, features a panelled and glazed door with an overlight and a chamfered wood lintel. To the right of the entrance are two three-light wood casement windows, also with chamfered wood lintels, and above them are three similar windows. The left section of the farmhouse has a four-light window from the 20th century on the ground floor, with two additional 20th-century windows above. There is a panelled and glazed entrance at the right end of the building.

Inside, the farmhouse includes a 19th-century staircase, moulded ceiling cornices, and panelled doors. The inglenook fireplace features a chamfered bressumer with rebuilt stone surrounds, original ingle seats, and a fireback.
