Description
Bay Tree House is a house dating from the 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses, along with a brick stack. The house has a three-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a three-window attic range. The entrance is off-centre to the left and includes a panelled and glazed door with a wood lintel. To the left of the entrance is a renewed wood casement window with its original wood lintel. There is a gabled single-storey projecting addition to the right, which has a 20th-century wood casement and wood lintel. The attic includes a full dormer to the left and two 20th-century dormers. At the rear, there is a single-storey addition with stone slate roofs. Inside, the house features a chamfered beam.
